The Community Help Exchange ("Platform") is operated by The Humble Travelers Foundation, a nonprofit organization. The Platform connects individuals seeking assistance ("Requesters") with individuals offering help ("Helpers") and approved partners ("Partners").
By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must provide accurate information
- You must use the Platform lawfully
3. Nature of Service
The Platform facilitates connections only and does not create employment or contractual relationships.
- No guarantee of request fulfillment
- No supervision of user interactions
4. User Roles
Users may be assigned roles including Requester, Helper, Partner, or Administrator. Roles affect permissions and access.
5. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate requests and information
- Act respectfully and in good faith
- Avoid harm, exploitation, or misuse
6. Trust System
The Platform uses a trust scoring system based on user activity. This may affect access, permissions, and visibility.
7. Risk & Safety
Participation may involve risk. Users agree to act responsibly and use personal judgment.
The Platform does not guarantee safety or verify all participants.
8. No Guarantee
We do not guarantee outcomes, availability, or quality of interactions.
9. Prohibited Activities
- Illegal activity
- Fraud or misrepresentation
- Harassment or abuse
- System manipulation
10. Moderation
We may approve, remove, suspend, or restrict access at our discretion.
11. Disputes
Users are responsible for resolving disputes. The Platform may review cases but is not obligated to intervene.
12. Data & Privacy
We collect and use data to operate and improve the Platform. Use is subject to our Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual Property
Platform content and systems belong to The Humble Travelers Foundation. Users retain ownership of submitted content but grant usage rights.
14. Liability
The Humble Travelers Foundation is not liable for user actions, damages, or service interruptions.
15. Indemnification
You agree to hold harmless The Humble Travelers Foundation from claims related to your use of the Platform.
16. Changes
Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
