We are all
travelers.
At The Humble Travelers Foundation, we see everyone as a traveler — moving through life's transitions, carrying unique stories and strengths. We bridge cultural divides, connect neighbors with the resources they need, and create spaces where every person has the opportunity to grow.
Community as
partnership.
"This is not about fixing anyone; it's about walking together, weaving generosity into daily life, and strengthening the whole through humble partnership."
The Humble Travelers Foundation is a Portland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that activates community cultural wealth and fosters belonging through community-led impact. We focus on social equity, building community through shared experiences, celebrating diverse cultures, and connecting people with the resources, relationships, and support they need to move forward with dignity.
The crisis in Portland isn't just a lack of available aid — it's a profound lack of accessible bridges and meaningful human connection. We address this through two pillars: active outreach navigation, through the PDX Resource Compass and Navigator Series; and cultural engagement and the arts, through shared meals, public art, storytelling, and community celebration. These two pillars are not separate programs — they are two expressions of the same belief: that people thrive when they have both the tools to survive and the community to truly live.
Eight commitments.
One foundation.
These values are not aspirational statements. They are the operating principles that shape every program, every partnership, and every act of service we undertake.
What we
stand for.
The Humble Travelers Foundation is established upon the belief that every person is a traveler — and that within those transitions lies the opportunity to build stronger, more compassionate communities. This Foundation affirms:
How we show up
for community.
Every THTF initiative starts with the same question: what does this community already have, what barriers are blocking people from reaching what they need, and how do we close that gap? Our work runs on two pillars — Navigation & Outreach and Cultural Engagement & the Arts — built on the belief that communities need both the logistical tools to survive and the shared experiences that make survival worth it.
